Accessibility

Last updated: March 2026

DevOpser Lite is committed to making the websites you build accessible to everyone. All sites generated by our platform include built-in accessibility features that conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.

Standards Compliance

Every site built with DevOpser Lite is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. Our generated HTML, CSS, and JavaScript follow established accessibility best practices to ensure your site works for the widest possible audience.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on generated sites are fully operable using a keyboard alone:

  • A "Skip to main content" link appears on focus, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation and jump directly to the page content (WCAG 2.4.1).
  • All links, buttons, and form fields display a visible focus indicator when navigated to via keyboard (WCAG 2.4.7).
  • Gallery lightbox items can be opened with Enter or Space keys and include full keyboard navigation (arrow keys, Escape to close).
  • FAQ accordion sections are operable via keyboard with proper aria-expanded states.
  • The lightbox dialog traps focus while open and returns focus to the triggering element when closed.

Screen Reader Support

Generated sites use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to provide a rich experience for assistive technology users:

  • Proper landmark elements (nav, main, footer) define the page structure for easy navigation.
  • Interactive components such as the mobile menu, FAQ accordions, and lightbox use aria-expanded, aria-controls, aria-modal, and role attributes.
  • All form fields are associated with visible labels using the for/id pattern.
  • Form validation errors are announced via role="alert" and aria-live regions so screen readers report them immediately.
  • Social media icon links include descriptive aria-label attributes identifying the platform.
  • Images include alt text derived from the content you provide in the builder.

Motion & Animation

We respect your visitors' motion preferences:

  • When the operating system's "reduce motion" setting is enabled, all CSS animations and transitions are effectively disabled (WCAG 2.3.3).
  • Lottie animations display their first frame as a static image instead of playing when reduced motion is preferred.
  • Smooth scrolling falls back to instant navigation when reduced motion is preferred.

Forms & Input

Contact forms and gated resource forms include accessibility features to help all users complete them successfully:

  • Every field has a visible label programmatically associated with the input.
  • Client-side validation marks invalid fields with aria-invalid and moves focus to the first error for immediate correction.
  • Standard fields (name, email, phone) include autocomplete attributes to support autofill and assistive technologies (WCAG 1.3.5).
  • Success and error messages use aria-live="polite" so they are announced to screen reader users without interrupting their workflow.

Visual Design

Sites built with DevOpser Lite are designed with readability and visual clarity in mind:

  • Hero sections include overlay layers to ensure text-over-image contrast. The platform's default color schemes are selected for adequate contrast ratios.
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • All layouts are fully responsive and adapt to different screen sizes, zoom levels, and orientations.

Right-to-Left (RTL) Language Support

Sites configured in Hebrew or other RTL languages receive automatic direction, alignment, and layout adjustments — ensuring accessibility features work correctly in both reading directions.

Ongoing Commitment

We continuously test and improve the accessibility of our generated sites. As web standards evolve, we update our platform to incorporate new best practices. If you discover an accessibility barrier on a site built with DevOpser Lite, we want to hear about it.
